The stone is gently set in a hand cut bezel setting, while being accented by marvelously cut silver. Twisted silver finish the pendant off for a wonderful look. The pendant is stamped sterling and hallmarked by the artist.

Most people know Opal for its distinctive play of color, it is a semi-transparent solidified mineral composed of silicon and water, and it gets its name from the Sanskrit word “Upala” meaning precious stone. Opal is the birthstone for October. It is believed to release self-consciousness allowing spontaneous action, and awakens psychic and mystical qualities.
